Inspired by the teachings of Christ and the example of St Francis, we strive for excellence, cherishing every child in our care as a unique thumbprint of God, enabling all to realise their full potential.

Welcome

Welcome to the St Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust homepage.  We are a family of eight Catholic schools in the Roman Catholic Deanery of the Lea Valley.  Our Trust came into being on 1st September 2021, and whilst each school retains its own distinctive ethos and mission, we share one overarching vision:

To deliver a Catholic education excelling in the academic, pastoral and spiritual life, and which produces fully flourishing pupils who are inspired by the charism of St. Francis -

  • To be caring towards everyone in the community;
  • Being compassionate - standing up especially for the poor and oppressed;
  • Acting with reverence towards all creation;
  • Being peacemakers, reconcilers, and healers to all those in need.

In our first year we began by forming the foundations of our School Improvement work, supporting and challenging schools to be ever-better centres of Catholic educational excellence.  In our second year we built on those foundations delivering an impressive range of School Improvement initiatives, as well as ensuring that the Trust has very quickly delivered an impressive and significant positive financial net gain across the organisation.

I would encourage you to click the yellow box below ("Trust Impact Report") to read more about these School Improvement and Financial benefits in our Impact Report below.  Whilst every individual in our community is of critical importance, I was particularly pleased to note in the report how happy Headteachers are with the decision to join the Trust.  On a scale of 0-10, 10 being 'maximum satisfaction', our 8 Heads were asked 'how happy are you with the decision to join our Trust'.  Their verdict: 9.0.  Hopefully in due course that will hit '10', but as a starter after just 5 or 6 terms together, I hope you will agree that this is a promising beginning that reflects the inspiration of St. Francis himself when he said ‘Start by doing what is necessary, then what is possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible’.

Thank you for your interest and accessing our website – I hope that you stay connected with us as we develop the Trust and our schools for the benefit of everyone in our community.
