Year 3/4 pupils at St Thomas of Canterbury in Puckeridge recently enjoyed an exciting Egyptian Workshop Day led by the organisation History Off the Page.
During the day, pupils were transported back to 14th century BC, stepping into the roles of workers and slaves and taking part in a range of hands-on activities that brought history to life. From embalming rituals and tomb painting to amulet making, they explored key aspects of ancient Egyptian culture and beliefs — with staff also fully joining in by dressing in costume too. The school described the event as a memorable and immersive learning experience for all involved.
