Celebrations of the Jubilee of Hope from Schools Across the Trust
All Trust schools have worked together to celebrate the conclusion of the Jubilee of Hope. A special thank you to Tom Hutchinson, Assistant Headteacher at St Mary’s Catholic School, for his excellent coordination and leadership in ensuring the success of the event.

To celebrate the Feast of St Francis of Assisi on 4 October, schools across the St Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust have been celebrating St Francis Week, with pupils taking part in prayer, reflection and a wide range of activities inspired by the life and teachings of St Francis.
St Mary’s Catholic school is celebrating another remarkable year of success for its Art Department, with students achieving outstanding GCSE and A Level results and receiving national recognition for the quality of their work.
St Paul’s Catholic Primary School in Cheshunt, part of St Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust, is celebrating the achievements of young coder Zanna, whose creativity and enthusiasm for technology have led to exciting opportunities in game design, coding and community engagement.
St Mary’s Catholic School Open Evening will hold its Open Evening on Thursday 24 September 2026, from 6pm to 8:30pm.
To celebrate Education Sunday on 13 September, pupils from across the Trust attended Mass with their families, proudly representing their school communities.
Education Sunday, marked on 13 September this year, is a special day to celebrate and give thanks for Catholic education and all those who contribute to the life of our schools. The Trust warmly invites pupils, parents and families to join Mass and celebrate together.
We are delighted to welcome back all our pupils, parents and staff across St Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust as we begin the new academic year.
Students at St Mary’s Catholic School have made the strongest progress ever recorded at the school, and they have done it in the largest year group St Mary’s has ever entered for examinations. Two hundred and six students collected their GCSE results this morning, against a typical recent cohort of 186 and a more usual intake of 155.
St Mary's Catholic School has achieved some of its best ever A Level results this year. A record proportion are A* and A grades, equalling the benchmark set in 2018. Average points scores, the proportion of grades at A*–B, the overall pass rate and early indications of value added all stand at record levels.
As the school year comes to an end, our Trust schools will be closing for the summer and will reopen in September.
Pupils from across St Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust demonstrated confidence, creativity and outstanding communication skills as they took part in this year's Speak Out Challenge.
More than 150 Year 5 pupils from primary schools across the Trust took part in a Science Enrichment Day at St Mary’s Catholic School in Bishop’s Stortford. The day provided an exciting opportunity for pupils from across the Trust to experience science beyond their usual classroom environment, inspiring curiosity and enthusiasm through practical learning.
