Celebrations of the Jubilee of Hope from Schools Across the Trust
All Trust schools have worked together to celebrate the conclusion of the Jubilee of Hope. A special thank you to Tom Hutchinson, Assistant Headteacher at St Mary’s Catholic School, for his excellent coordination and leadership in ensuring the success of the event.

On 7 May 2026, St Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust held a Headteacher Celebration Event, bringing together school leaders, Executive and Central Team colleagues, Governors and guests for a day of reflection, collaboration and thanksgiving.
As Year 6 pupils begin their SATs this week, St Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust wishes them every success and keeps them in prayer throughout this important time.
On 8 May, pupils across our Trust celebrated the remarkable life and work of Sir David Attenborough by learning about wildlife, biodiversity, and the importance of protecting our planet.
The chaplaincy teams from St Mary’s Catholic School and St Joseph’s Catholic School in Bishop's Stortford, both members of St Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust, united to honour and venerate the Blessed Virgin Mary during the annual Marian Procession on 5 May. Pupils played a leading role throughout the occasion, preparing and proclaiming readings and reflections on Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth and as our loving Mother.
Year 11 and Year 13 students are now entering this important stage of their GCSE and A Level examinations.
Following the Year of St Francis Mass held in St Mary’s Catholic School, Chaplaincy Teams across the Trust began launching the Year of St Francis in their own schools through Liturgy assemblies before the Easter break.
Before Easter break, schools across the St Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust organised Trust Charity Week, each adopting different themes and activities to raise funds for charitable work.
May this season of hope and renewal bring peace, happiness, and new beginnings to all our pupils, families, and staff across St Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust.
The school hall of St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Bishop’s Stortford, part of St Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust, was transformed into a lively marketplace. Pupils enthusiastically sold their handmade products and organised fun games to attract young shoppers — their fellow pupils.
A group of Year 1 pupils from St Paul’s Catholic Primary School in Cheshunt recently visited the British Museum for their annual school trip, accompanied by their teachers and parent volunteers. The visit was designed to enrich pupils’ understanding of their History topic ‘Toys from the Past’, through first-hand experiences and object-based learning.
Schools across the Trust enjoyed a fantastic week celebrating British Science Week 2026, inspired by this year’s theme: ‘Curiosity — What’s Your Question?’. The Science Week was held from 9 to 13 March.
