Mayor of Broxbourne visited St Paul’s Catholic Primary School

Councillor Patsy Spears, the Mayor of Broxbourne, recently visited St Paul’s Catholic Nursery and Primary School, Chestnut on 20th September for its Open Morning for newly perspective Early Year pupils and their parents.

During the visit, the Mayor was warmly welcomed by Headteacher Mrs Katie Worton-Geer and the senior leadership team, where the councillor had a school tour sharing the school’s Catholic mission, ethos, and showcasing the learning and teaching being delivered. The Mayor also had the opportunity to meet teaching staff and local parents along with seeing the enriched learning environment which reflects the children’s creativity, enthusiasm, and commitment to their work.

Councillor Spears praised the St Paul’s school community for its welcoming atmosphere and congratulated staff and pupils on their enriched and inclusive achievements. Mrs Worton-Geer expressed her gratitude for the Mayor’s support on this annual event and highlighted the importance of strong links between the school and the wider community.
