New Art Installations Brighten St Joseph’s (Bishop’s Stortford)

New Art Installations Brighten St Joseph’s (Bishop’s Stortford)

The pupils and staff at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School (Bishop’s Stortford) have expressed their sincere gratitude to the Governing Body for funding a series of new art installations across the school.

Headteacher Ann Cassidy-Jones said the striking new feature wall now welcomes visitors as they step through the doors from the school reception. The design concept was inspired by a collaborative artwork created by pupils, with a big olive tree symbolising both the school’s core subjects and the foundation of faith, including love, peace and hope.

The vibrant new displays, including artwork celebrating the school’s house saints, were recently unveiled in the hall and were met with great excitement from the children. The installations have already made a positive impact, bringing colour, inspiration and a renewed sense of pride to the school community.

Pupils shared their delight at the transformation, with one child commenting, “I love our new welcome wall – it makes me feel happy because it’s so bright,” while another said, “Now all our visitors will know the Mission Statement like we do.” A third pupil added, “My favourite bit is the tree – our brains and hearts grow like trees until we are full of knowledge and kindness.”

St Joseph’s (Bishop’s Stortford) is delighted with the outcome of the project, which reflects its commitment to creating a welcoming, faith-filled environment where pupils can flourish both academically and spiritually.
