Young runners from St Cross Catholic Primary School proudly represented the school at the TCS London Mini Marathon.
Joanne Walsh, Executive Headteacher of St Cross in Hoddesdon, said she had received so many reports and messages from the event highlighted how well the 13 pupils, from Reception to Year 5, represented the school throughout the day.
She added that getting to run in front of crowds past iconic landmarks and along famous roads is something the pupils will all remember. She also said these pupils are great role models for their peers.
In addition, the school own marathon event, held earlier this month, also formed part of the TCS London Mini Marathon initiative. In recognition of the whole school community’s participation, St Cross has been presented with a beautiful wooden plaque, which now takes pride of place in the school’s front office.
