  • Chaplaincy Team across the Trust joined together for Reflection

Nearly 90 Chaplaincy members from the nine Trust schools gathered this morning for a time of reflection on the values of St Francis, in preparation for his Feast Day.

The pupils prayed together in thanksgiving for their school community, seeking inspiration from the example of St Francis of Assisi by working together to share God’s Word within their school and across the wider family of schools. They also prayed for strength to build a community where love can shine through everyone.

To mark the occasion, each pupil received a Chaplaincy badge in recognition of their commitment to living and sharing the values of St Francis.

In anticipation of the Feast Day of St Francis in two days’ time, pupils wrote their wishes and hopes on olive-shaped cards and placed them on a decorative tree, symbolising peace and harmony.

The gathering also provided an opportunity for pupils and teachers to exchange ideas on possible fundraising initiatives for next year.
