Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School Ware

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School in Ware is proud to announce that it is one of 310 schools awarded the Primary Science Quality Mark in October 2025. The nationally recognised accreditation celebrates schools’ commitment to developing excellence in science leadership, curriculum design, teaching, and learning.

The award recognises the school’s effective approach to developing science teaching and learning and its ongoing work to strengthen science leadership across the school. The St Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust congratulates Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School on achieving this national recognition.

The Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM), led by the University of Hertfordshire, has supported schools for over a decade in developing high-quality science education. To date, more than 5,800 Quality Marks have been awarded, benefiting over one million children. The year-long professional development programme helps science leaders enhance teaching and raise the profile of science through structured and continuous improvement.
