The Chaplaincy Teams at St Augustine's and St Cross Catholic Primary Schools, Hoddesdon, have been recognised for their outstanding commitment to the Catholic life of their schools after successfully achieving the CYMFed Faith in Action Award.
Throughout the past year, the teams have played a leading role in nurturing the faith life of their school communities by leading classroom prayer, organising Rosary sessions, supporting charitable initiatives, and encouraging others to put their faith into action. Their work and personal reflections were carefully documented in a portfolio, which was recently assessed by the CYMFed Faith in Action Team.
The Faith in Action Award recognises young people who are growing in their relationship with God and demonstrating their faith through service to others. The award encourages participants to reflect on how living out the Gospel positively influences both their own lives and the communities they serve.
The Chaplaincy Teams were presented with their awards by Bishop Paul, who congratulated and blessed the pupils in recognition of their dedication, commitment and faithful service throughout the year. He praised their witness to the Gospel and thanked them for the positive contribution they continue to make to the Catholic life of St Augustine's and St Cross.
