Over 100 pupils from across our Trust Chaplaincy teams gathered at Aylesford Priory for a special Cross Trust Retreat Day, celebrating the commitment, faith and amazing contributions they have made throughout the year.
The day provided an opportunity for pupils from different schools across the Trust to come together, strengthen relationships and reflect on their role in supporting the Catholic life of their communities.
The retreat began with a series of team-building activities, allowing pupils to work together, compete in friendly challenges and get to know one another. These activities encouraged collaboration, communication and helped students build connections with chaplaincy team members from other schools.
Following the opening activities, pupils gathered at the main shrine for a welcome talk and introduction to the theme of the day. They then took part in a scavenger hunt around the beautiful grounds of Aylesford Priory, exploring the significance of the site while working together to solve challenges and deepen their understanding of this important place of prayer and pilgrimage.
The day concluded with a liturgy, providing pupils with a peaceful opportunity to come together in prayer and reflection. It was a fitting way to end the retreat, allowing students to celebrate their shared faith and recognise the important role they play in helping others encounter Christ within their schools.
A highlight of the day was seeing students from across the Trust forming new friendships, supporting one another and working together as one chaplaincy community. The retreat was a wonderful celebration of faith, teamwork and service, recognising the positive impact our young people have on the life of our schools.
