Trust’s Schools raised £7,000 for Catholic Children’s Society During Charity Week

Schools within St Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust have shown incredible compassion, collectively raising an impressive £7,000 during Charity Week to support Westminster’s Catholic Children Society, which provides vital help to disadvantaged children and families across the UK.

Each school within the Trust organised its own fundraising events, contributing to this shared cause in unique and inspiring ways. Pupils and staff participated with enthusiasm, turning Charity Week into a joyful and meaningful experience across the Trust.

At St Mary’s Catholic School in Bishop’s Stortford, the week featured a range of fun and engaging events, including music and dance performances, a lively ‘Lip Sync Battle’ between staff and Sixth Form students, and the crowd-favourite activity – ‘Soak the Teacher’. Staff and pupils demonstrated great spirit, showing that giving can be both impactful and fun.

At St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, also in Bishop’s Stortford, pupils and staff dressed in the colours of the Year of Hope, continuing their journey of prayer and pilgrimage. They reflected on how acts of charity can bring hope to others. The School also reminded pupils of the importance of exercise is for mental well-being, promoting both physical and emotional health alongside charitable giving.

At St Paul’s Catholic Primary School in Cheshunt, pupils explored the work of the Catholic Children’s Society in class, designed informative posters, and shared them with the wider school community to raise awareness.
