Pupils and staff across the Trust celebrated World Book Day yesterday with a range of fun and inspiring activities that promoted a love of reading.
Throughout the day, pupils took part in book-themed events, including costume parades and classroom reading activities. Many pupils and teaching staff dressed up as their favourite book characters, bringing well-loved stories to life and creating a vibrant atmosphere across the schools.
At St Cross Catholic Primary School in Hoddesdon, pupils embraced an Alice in Wonderland themed for this year’s World Book Day. Meanwhile, at St Thomas of Canterbury in Puckeridge, the day began with a special ‘Breakfast with a Book’ event. Many pupils arrived early to enjoy breakfast together while sharing their favourite books.
These celebrations highlighted the importance of reading for enjoyment and encouraged students to explore new books and authors. The Trust is delighted to see such enthusiasm for reading and creativity among its school communities.
